Who handles your data

Salt Studio, at Largo Vasco D'Orey 15, Sassoeiros, Carcavelos, Portugal, is the controller of the personal data collected through this site. For anything privacy related, write to info@wearesaltstudio.com.

What we collect

Only what you type into the Fala Connosco form: your name, your email and your message. Nothing else.

We also count visits with Google Analytics: how many people came in, from which country, on which device and which pages they saw. These are aggregate numbers, they do not say who you are, and your IP address is never stored. If you agree, a cookie lets us tell that you had been here before. If you decline, your visit still adds to the total, but with no cookie and nothing tying it to you or to any other visit.

What it is used for

Solely to reply to you and to follow up on what you wrote about. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we neither sell nor share it with anyone.

On what legal basis

By sending the form you are asking us to get in touch, and that request is what allows us to process your data. In legal terms, these are steps taken prior to entering into a contract, under Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

How long we keep it

We keep your message for as long as the conversation lasts and, after that, for up to two years, so we have the history if you come back to us. After that it is deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner, at any time.

Who else touches it

Your message reaches us by email and is stored on servers run by two providers working for us: Digital Impact, which manages the site and email hosting, and Hetzner, the data centre in Germany where the site lives. Both process the data only on our instructions and within the European Union.

Your message does not leave the European Economic Area. The visit count is run by Google Ireland Limited and may pass through the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. That holds even when you decline; what changes is that no cookie and nothing identifying you goes with it.

Your rights

At any time you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict what we do with it, to hand you a copy, or to stop processing it. Just write to info@wearesaltstudio.com and we will answer within one month.

If you feel we did not handle it properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD, at www.cnpd.pt.

Security

The site is always served over an encrypted connection, so everything you send us travels protected. The server has daily backups and continuous monitoring.

Changes

If we ever change how we handle data, we will update this page and change the date above. The version published here is the one that applies.
